I used to swim laps and when I reached my goal, I often swam a few more just for the joy of it.

I promised I'd put what I've been calling my bird quilt in the Guild Show this year.
The binding, sleeve and label are sewn on the quilt.   Now that I've met the deadline,  I've been adding a bit more quilting.
I don't want to let go just yet.
I'm going to show it at the Guild Meeting tomorrow and then I'll show you.
I can't wait.
the label

  1. The batiks for your label look really good - they are pretty versatile, aren't they? You can use the detail for such interesting effect, as you've done with the fins.

Looking forward to seeing your decade's worth of effort . . . have fun at the Guild Meeting :)

  2. How on earth did you sew the tail in place?
Can't wait to see the whole quilt.

  3. Your label is amazing. I love the bright blue embroidery with the detailed applique. Very nice. Also, I too pre-wash all my fabric. Glad to know someone else does. Thanks for the Synthrapol tip. I will have to get some for those little emergencies.
